What are the 3 mistakes that keep spiritual people broke?
What are the 3 mistakes that keep spiritual people broke?
I was raised in a culture that taught me that it's rude to ask for things.
As a woman society taught me that good girls are reserved in their desires, they wait to be offered things and they hint at the things they want.
This lie held me back for years, especially in business where I spent years hinting at people to buy my products and hire me for my services.
I open my book Heart, Mind & Money by explaining that we all have a little bit of the prostitute archetype in us because we all have the capacity to do things for money. Things we don’t want to do.
We have multiple archetypes - one is dominant. But the dominant archetype may not run the show when it comes to money.
It may be the shadow of that archetype that runs the show or it may be any of our other archetypes.
We also have collective archetypes and those also have a huge/ major influence on the money archetypes as well.
Because these are the archetypes and shadows we see play out in our daily lives.
One of the things that came up for me in a recent spirit of money and inner child meditation is this idea of worthiness.
I woke up from a spirit of money meditation with the realization that I've spent my life proving my worthiness to people, to lovers and even to money.
A few months ago, I woke up with the thought that self deprivation is a form of self-torture and it’s often linked to money.
Self-deprivation can be the way we deprive ourselves of sleep, healthy food, deprive our body of exercise, deprive our mind of peace, deprive ourselves of financial wellbeing etc.
Giving to ourselves and nurturing ourselves can be the hardest thing because at the base of it is the desire to self-sabotage.
A few weeks ago, Jo Ntsebeza from Kalavati Café shared her experience about the spirit of money meditations on the Facebook.
Jo explained that during one of her spirit of money meditations, money came to her and explained that she should stop looking for free things.
