The Fear Of Having Money In The Bank

Sometimes we don't want to have money, because we're scared of money and we just don't know it.

We're in a relationship with money, similar to a romantic relationship.

And just like a romantic relationship, our past experience with our lover affects our behavior today.

Our lovers trains us on what to expect from them.

So if for years we would ask our lover to show up when we needed them and they always disappointed us, it would be normal for us to have trust issues with that lover.

We'll stop asking them to show up for us or just learn to live with whatever little attention they've trained us to accept.

In fact, we sometimes think we may lose that lover if we demand different treatment.

Or we leave that relationship and look for another lover.

Being In Survival Mode & Healing the Beggar Archetype

"Beware of those that can only love you in your brokenness and can only connect with you through suffering.

They will make you fall in love with your pain and eventually your anger and your sadness will become a prison.

Pain and struggle can be a prison...allow yourself to explore who you are beyond these walls.

Allow yourself to evolve and dream. Your expansion lies in the ability to dream."

That was a message from my higher self in early 2019 and I keep coming back to this message because it reminds me to give myself permission to evolve and thrive.

The ABCs of commercial real estate

In episode 24, we talk to Khali Masooane, a commercial broker, about the commercial real estate market. Most people think real estate and think about the residential market and how to service that market.

Some of us also think about AirBnB or student accommodation; but very few of us think about commercial property and the opportunities in that market.

How Perfectionism And The Fear Of Criticism Hold Us Back Financially

We need to talk about the perfect kids.

The kids or teens who were the good kids, the straight A kids who were the model kids, the kids we were sometimes compared to growing up. We need to talk about how this weight of perfection holds them back in adulthood and holds them back financially.

These were the kids, who always did as they were told and were respectful to a fault. They rarely experimented in alcohol or cannabis and were focused on all the right things. Everyone had high hopes for them.

They were seen as successful before they even reached university.

I was NOT this kid.

I was the kid parents would feel sorry for or thank God their children weren't like that. I was too weird, too outspoken, too visibly tortured and I was a runaway teen with who spent time on the streets making friends with sex workers.

if anyone actually believed I woulproductive as an adult?
