Years ago I would have fought my desire to rest and judged it as procrastination. Often procrastination can be a trauma response, especially when it comes to money goals and why self discipline actually doesn't work in that case.

If someone grew up in a household where they were constantly criticized, verbally or emotionally attacked or beaten for being wrong or making mistakes, they will learn to defend themselves by never claiming responsibility for mistakes they made because they are scared of the punishment associated with making mistakes.
One day we need to unpack how consistently feeling powerless and helpless impacts the nervous system and can lead to traumatic stress, which eventually overwhelms the nervous system.
