The Paradox of Becoming vs Doing In Order to Achieve Our Financial Goals

The Paradox of Becoming vs Doing In Order to Achieve Our Financial Goals

I spent years being too scared to dream and too scared to ask the universe or life for new things and new experiences.

I believed that the only way too get out of debt and be financially savvy was to eliminate all my desires and stop wanting things, because having a desire or wanting something meant spending money.

I believed the only way to become debt free was to eliminate all my wants and desires and to stop feeling my needs.

Or to deny all my needs.

Besides, I seemed incapable of achieving any financial goal I set for myself.

We’ve been taught that doing more is what leads us to achieve our financial goals

In order to reach our financial goals, we’re required to take action. That’s a given.

But taking action for the sake of action is a waste of energy.

We have to take action that’s aligned with our vision and our financial goals. And sometimes the actions we take yield different results for us, because the universe is responding to our energy, not our actions.

We carry money traumas and blocks that either stop us from taking action or that make the actions we take null and void, because on a conscious level, we want to achieve our financial goals, but on a subconscious level we’re triggered and scared about the goals, so we’re sending out an energetic message that it’s not safe for us to achieve that goal and blocking the desired results.

The universe responds to this energetic message and all the actions we take to reach this financial goal start to fizzle out.

The paradox of becoming vs doing

Abraham Hicks says, when we ask the universe for anything, we never have to explain why we want the things we're asking for.

All we have to do is ask and know that the universe is there to serve us and that's it.

But (this is a big but) they explain that you have to be a "co-operative component" to the thing you're asking for and often we’re not, according to them, we’re the only unco-operative component.

They explain that when you ask, the universe isn't creating a car or money just for you. The universe is creating a new you with that car or money.

The car and the money are already here, in this 3D space.

Your job is to go out and get it.

The challenge is you.

The version of you now, is not on the same vibrational frequency that allows you to receive those things.

The stories and emotions you have about the car or the money, your traumas and your perception of your abilities to make that money or get that car, stop you from getting the car or the money.

For example: imagine you like a man or woman and no matter what you try to do, you just can't connect with them and can't get them to even notice you. You try everything but inside you're scared and traumatized by your last relationship and love doesn’t feel safe.

On a conscious level, you want a relationship, but energetically, you’re blocking a new relationship in order to keep yourself safe.

This desire to keep yourself safe will influence how you relate to potential lovers and impact how you show up on dates.

Now imagine - you go on a healing journey and start to heal your relationship trauma and heart ache and you suddenly meet someone and find yourself falling in love.

What happened?

The universe didn’t suddenly create this person, they were always there but you had a lot of fear about being in a relationship and because emotions are energy, you started creating an energetic block to meeting them and being in a relationship.

Or you just didn’t notice their advances.

When you gave yourself permission to heal, you released all those emotions of fear and tension and your approach to potential lovers changed.

So when Abraham Hicks says the universe is creating a new you with the car or money, it means you have to heal and open yourself up to achieving your financial goals, so the actions you take towards making your goal a reality, aren’t affected by your emotional state.

You have to become the future version of you, the version of you that has achieved the financial goal

Focus on becoming more than doing.

When I wanted to increase Wealthy Money’s income and create a steady income, I spent a whole month asking myself how that version of me would build the company to generate a steady income and what products and services they’d offer.

I had to start thinking like that version of me, because the me now, didn’t have the answers, so I needed to think differently and the only way to think differently was to become that version of me.

You have to question your thoughts and stories about what you believe is true about your financial vision and your ability to make this vision a reality. We focus a lot on this in the #MoneyMagic Course.

And act in faith, sit with the doubt, don’t run from it.

Sit with it and question its origins and then release it.

This is why it's so important to be self aware, meditate or do the inner work, because often these emotions and stories are deeply buried in psyche, we don't even know they’re there, since we're only aware of what's happening on the conscious and not the subconscious level.

So when something seems like it's taking forever to happen or come to fruition in your life, use that as an opportunity to get still and go within and see what's happening within you.
